Muscat: The KR Group has partnered with Asyad Drydock to build vessels in the modern shipbuilding and repairs facility in Duqm, Oman, through its Marine Solutions business.
Khimji Ramdas Marine Solutions, a full-service company specializing in the design and construction of harbour-related infrastructures as well as ship repair and maintenance, has grown rapidly since its inception in 2005.In its first project, the team successfully built a 15m multi-cat vessel called “Hulm Al Behar,” which became the first marine vessel built in Asyad Drydock.

Kharji Ramdas has launched a 15m multi-cat vessel in Oman’s water in Duqm. It is the first time Khimji and Asyad Drydock have built ships and vessels in Oman for the very first time. KR Group Marine Solutions has announced the creation of a new shipyard in Oman to support first-of-its-kind projects. The company’s founder, Hritik Khimji, said he believes the new generation of young Omanis coming out of high school or university are looking for challenging opportunities and have the potential and mindset to excel. He added that KR will be able to create a strong workforce that is skilled, competent, and reserves the capacity to spearhead change and propel Oman forward.
