Sama Wakan Heritage

SAMA Heritage Home is a unique old traditional home in Wakan Village Oman that has been restored and come with an ensuite bathroom. Sama Heritage Homes-Wakan is the first and only hotel in Wakan which is one of Oman’s hidden gems.

This Heritage Home sits at 2000 meters above sea level in Wakan Village Oman. The resort has 09 rooms including a family chalet. The rooms are equipped with AC/Heater, newly renovated attached washrooms fully designed as per Omani traditions.  The resort also has only one restaurant in Wakan Village which offers buffet lunch, dinner, and La- Carte menu for your convenience.

Our guests can enjoy the view of many agricultural terraces, experience walking within the orchard, and seeing the trees and their fruits like Pomegranates, Apricots, and Grapes plantation of Wakan Village.

Moreover, Our Guests will get to enjoy unique views of the Wadi Mistal and a panoramic view of the surrounding mountain from the resort. We recommend a 4×4 vehicle because the road to Wakan Village top includes steep curvy roads.

Wakan Village is a 1hr 34 minutes drive from Muscat. Driving on the rustic road from Barka, look for the left turn after Nakhal. The drive is good until you reach the last hilly point, there it’s a bit rough as you need to have a 4wd to go up.
