Sadah is a lovely beach village in Dhofar

Sadah is a lovely coastal town located 135 kilometers north of Salalah. The wilayat of Mirbat borders the hamlet on the west, while the wilayat of Shaleem and the Al Hallaniyat Islands border it on the east. Sadah is a renowned tourist destination because of its lovely beaches and peaceful bays.

There are ruins of ancient historical cities in Sadah, such as the ancient City of ‘Al Mahalla’ and the village of Hadhabram, which is located near Hasik’s Niyabat and contains an ancient cemetery. Sadah was once a prominent trading center for collecting and exporting frankincense.

The Mount Natif area in Hasik’s Niyabat is one of the most picturesque tourist sites in the country, attracting a large number of people.

The valleys can be found all around the Wilayat of Sadah. Wadi Shilion is one of these valleys, as is Wadi Rikut, which runs west of Hasik’s Niyabat. Ghaidhat Rikut Spring is located in one of the towns of Sadah’s deepest valleys, surrounded by palm trees.

Wadi Sinaq, which is 10 kilometers east of Hasik’s Niyabat, is known for its blue lagoon and palm trees. Wadi Lushu, which slants from the foot of Mount Samhan, is a lovely tourist destination in the Wilayat of Sadah’s west.

Aside from the presence of old tombs, the massive rock of Sidqan with its unique shape is one of the valley’s most notable features. Permanent water ponds characterize the Qiraf area.

Hat coastline park, located 5 kilometers east of the city center, is one of the most stunning tourist attractions in the Wilayat of Sadah. It is one of the most lovely spots to visit with friends and family.

“The wilayat is famed for its archaeological sites, with the Sadah castle being one of its key characteristics,” according to the Dhofar Municipality’s website. Sadah Fort, with its typical Omani style and unique design, is regarded as an archaeological landmark. The castle served as a shield to protect the city from external assaults in the past. The Fort of Sadah is the easternmost of a chain of fortifications that protected Dhofar’s shore.

“Frankincense extract, along with other crafts such as fishing, honey extract, and grazing cattle, as well as constructing sea cages, fishing nets, leather tanning industry, knitting, and embroidery, characterize Sadah’s traditional crafts.”
